Dear @darshakframework and @swapniludar, I am one of the main developers of the Android-IMSI-Catcher-Detector (AIMSICD), an Android-based project to detect and avoid fake base stations (IMSI-Catchers) in GSM/UMTS Networks. And since discovering your awesome tool on GitHub, I am asking myself if you wouldn't like to join forces? With this "Issue" I am issuing an open INVITE to you!

These are the main Goals of the Android-IMSI-Catcher-Detector (AIMSICD):

  • Detects IMSI based device location tracking
  • Provides counter measures against device tracking
  • Can provide swarm-wise-decision-based cellular service interruption
  • Can provide secure wifi/wimax alternative data routes through MESH-like networking
  • Detect and prevent remote hidden application installation
  • Detect and prevent remote hidden SMS-based SIM attacks
  • Prevent or spoof GPS data
  • Does NOT secure any data transmissions
  • Does NOT prevent already installed rogue application from full access
  • Aims to be added to the Guardian Project's list of secure Apps
  • Aims to be recommended by the SSD Project of the Electronic Frontier Foundation

Our project started in 2012, when @E3V3A, the main inventor and smart head of our project started his official developer thread on the forums of XDA-Developers. In November 2013, we launched our GitHub and since then, constant progress is being made. If I made you curious, feel free to grab and test the latest WIP-Release. Since the very beginning we've been searching for more developers but it would REALLY be a PLEASURE for us if you joined our Project with the awesome skillset you already proved!
