[BUG] Several files point to the wrong CONTRIBUTING guidelines

Bug description

The contributing guidelines have been moved to the wiki pages, but several files are still telling users to take a look at the old contributing guidelines inside CONTRIBUTING.md. More specifically the SVG Standards section.

This issue was noticed in this PR comment.

Possible fixes or solutions

1. Identify the links to CONTRIBUTING.md that can be replaced by the wiki link
2. Replace the links

Additional information

This, I think highlights a bigger issue too: CONTRIBUTING.md is outdated, and can not be trusted as a real source of info for new contributors.
Because of this I feel we should replace all the contents of the file, with a simple link to the wiki pages.
