Changing defaults

So I found this in the repo: mdHelp/en/add-exceltable.md
and it's clear how I can change the table style, but is there a way to change the default?
(I really prefer the 'Medium15' table style)

hmm, I don't believe so. I also don't think there is a PS function to do it. (not 💯 on this, that was a long time ago)

You'd have to get access to the object model either -PassThru or Open-ExcelPackage and find your way to the sheet and set it that way.

Would an alias that adds the -TableStyle Medium15 be the way to go then?
If I was scripting/automating with this it wouldn't be a big deal but I see myself using this manually in the terminal in place of doing an Export-CSV then manually adding the table style and saving as .xlsx (which is my current workflow usually)

can you post a simplei repro of what you want to do?

sample data, export to excel. then post a second xlsx with the same data and the style apply that you prefer.

basically I'm looking to doing stuff like this:
Get-Process | Export-Excel -TableStyle Medium15

as I understand it (reading the .md that I linked in the OP) if I leave off the -TableStyle Medium15 it will default to the Medium6 table style (right?) and my hope would be that I could change that default so I could leave off the -TableStyle Medium15 every time I do an Export-Excel

and I thought that maybe an alias in my PS profile.ps1 would be the way to go
but from testing and researching it appears that's not the way to do this and the proper way is the following:
$PSDefaultParameterValues['Export-Excel:TableStyle'] = "Medium15"

and so after some quick testing that is exactly what I was looking for
