Let's keep the the conda-recipe files for now. We may want them. i.e., copy htem from into the cookiecutter version of the code.
We don't want the build.yaml per se but we may want to use some of the code in there, so please copy-paste the code in the build.yaml into an issue and we can revisit it later.
Because of the files coming and going, let's do this PR again on a clean merged main.
