decoding multiple datamatrix on a single page

I cannot decode the attached image with dmtxread. It starts well but then hangs after 9 decoded datamatrix.

Any idea what's going wrong?

Try adding some clearance between individual dmtx tags. Also might wanna play around with dmtxread parameters to make decoding easier (e.g --symbol-size or --shrink).

On the image above:

• dmtxread -s 144x144 also finds only 9 matrices
• dmtxread -s 144x144 --shrink 2 completely fails and gives no result.

I misunderstood your 144x144 tags as small tags that weren't spaced out. My bad.

Running dmtxread -D creates a copy of your image with diagnostic data. I'm not exactly sure how to read the diagnostics info, but it might actually be a spacing issue. This is what I got (had to pass -N9 for dmtxread to return):
