This reverts commit ef35c0c.
we have to hope that this works on main; there is no way to test it before merging

Unfortunately, there is a chance that the new publish step will fail. This cannot be tested before integration, because it seems that PR builds are simply not allowed to publish to the container registry. Which would make a lot of sense, of course. According to this documentation, the setup is valid. But... you never know 😄 |
