Edit > Undo Menu item not working after deleting a file, item not grey-out and no user facing error messages

There are probably other action where menu items in the Edit section are not working, but are neither deactivated, nor are there error messages informing the user that the action can't be done, something along the lines of "this action cannot be undone".

This should be tested both against GUI and keyboard shortcuts.
