Error updating to v3.2.3

I get the following output when upgrading to the latest version as of writing.

Updating dependencies (including require-dev)
  - Removing fenos/notifynder (3.1.6)
  - Installing fenos/notifynder (3.2.3)
    Loading from cache

Writing lock file
Generating autoload files
> Illuminate\Foundation\ComposerScripts::postUpdate
> php artisan optimize


  [ErrorException]                         
  Invalid argument supplied for foreach()

Ok, this is an error @fenos also had. But I wasn't able to reproduce it.

I will publish a fix that should fix this problem. @computerfr33k can you tell me in which file, class, method, line or something like this the error occured?

When i/it runs artisan optimize. Not sure if there is a debug option for artisan optimize.
Now it tells me this:
[ErrorException] array_merge(): Argument #2 is not an array

@computerfr33k: Ok, before I do some more blind-fixes: can you pls tell me which Laravel-Version you are using and add a full stacktrace for this exception? If there is no in the console it is in the logs.

I am using laravel 5.2, using homestead at the moment which ships with php 7. I wonder if php 7 is causing the issue as well.
