Describe the problem

I've got the latest-and-greatest Flutter and Android tooling, AFAICT, but when I make a new app I get Groovy syntax, not Kotlin: the documentation is therefore not relevant.

Expected fix

It would be nice if the documentation mentioned the changes required to make this "Groovy-ready". [Or tell users what to do to switch to Kotlin syntax.]

Additional context

I would like to try and fix the problem, but I don't trust myself to do so. You probably need someone who knows both Groovy and Kotlin syntax well to tackle this.

I would like to fix this problem.

  • I will try and fix this problem on docs.flutter.dev.
