The commits fetch used --paginate without a date filter, capping analysis at ~100 commits despite 7,900+ being available in the 30-day window — making commit trend charts and contributor counts inaccurate.

Changes

New step: `Fetch or restore 30-day commit history`

Inserted between Cache downloaded data and List downloaded data. Manages its own independent cache in repo-memory (separate from the main data cache):

Cache hit (commits-30d.json in repo-memory, < 24h old): restore directly, zero API calls
Cache miss / stale: fetch full 30-day window via since= param, merge paginated pages with jq -s 'add // []', write back to repo-memory

Adds commits-30d.json to the pre-downloaded data list (with commits.json retained as labeled fallback)
Commit Activity phase now loads from commits-30d.json (prefer over commits.json)

Adds a dedicated "Fetch or restore 30-day commit history" step to the daily-news workflow that stores 30 days of commit data in repo-memory and recomputes the full window if missing or stale.

Problem

Previously, the commits fetch used --paginate without a date filter, producing a commits.json file. The agent prompt then capped analysis at 100 commits. The daily news discussion confirmed this limitation: "commits.json — 100 commits analyzed (7,930 available, capped at 100)" — the workflow was only ever seeing a tiny slice of 30-day commit activity, affecting chart accuracy and trend analysis.

Changes

New step: `Fetch or restore 30-day commit history`

Inserted after Cache downloaded data and before List downloaded data:

Checks repo-memory for commits-30d.json (valid if < 24 hours old)
Restores from cache if valid — zero API calls, fast startup
Recomputes from scratch if missing or stale:
- Fetches commits with since=<30-days-ago> — no artificial 100-commit cap
- Uses jq -s 'add // []' to merge paginated responses into a single array
- Stores result in repo-memory for future runs
Writes commits-30d.json to the working data directory

Agent prompt updates

Added commits-30d.json to the list of pre-downloaded data files
Updated Commit Activity Data phase to load from commits-30d.json (prefer over commits.json)
Updated guardrails: commits are now uncapped (full 30-day window)
Updated data sources note to reference commits-30d.json with fallback to commits.json

Expected Improvements

Accurate 30-day charts: Commit trend charts now reflect all commits in the window, not just 100
Better contributor analysis: Unique contributor counts will be accurate across the full month
Caching efficiency: The 30-day dataset is reused across runs (recomputed once per day at most)
