Summary of Changes
Hello @richieforeman, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!
This pull request focuses on improving the robustness of the application's configuration and enhancing its telemetry capabilities. It ensures that the session ID, a critical identifier, remains constant throughout the application's lifecycle by making it read-only. Concurrently, it augments the logging system to automatically capture the NodeJS version, providing richer environmental data for analysis and debugging purposes.
Highlights
- Configuration Immutability: The
sessionIdproperty within theConfigclass has been madereadonly, ensuring that its value can only be assigned once during object construction and cannot be modified thereafter. This change aligns with the intended usage of the session ID as a constant identifier for the execution. - Enhanced Telemetry Logging: The telemetry system has been enhanced to automatically log the current NodeJS version alongside other system information. This provides valuable context for debugging and understanding the environment in which the application is running.

Code Review
This pull request introduces two main improvements: it adds the NodeJS version to the telemetry logs and makes the Config.SessionId property readonly, enhancing immutability. The changes are well-implemented and include a corresponding test for the new logging feature. My only feedback is a suggestion to improve the maintainability of the EventMetadataKey enum to avoid potential confusion with manually assigned numeric values.

…ig.SessionID readonly (google-gemini#7219)
It was made mutable in google-gemini#5221 as part of this google-gemini#4401 branch, but that was too early, and so was reverted in google-gemini#7219. We need it mutable as part of the setup but we'll not bring it to main until it's needed.
