Overview

We need to update the RP006's Research Plan doc using the research plan template so we can keep documentations consistent.

Action Items

• Gather and customize all the resources related to RP006's research plan
  • Locate TWE: Research: IS22 Pre-Internship Assessment Research Plan - depreciated and its URL at the end of line (Resources 1.01)
  • Locate RP006 Wiki page and include its URL at the end of line (Resources 1.02)
  • Locate TWE: Research Roadmap: Interns and include its URL at the end of line (Resources 1.03)
  • Locate TWE–Research–IS22 Total Research Plan Overview - depreciated and include its URL at the end of line (Resources 1.04)
  • Locate RP006 - Intern Intake Interviews folder in the shared Google drive and include its URL at the end of line (Resources 1.05)
• Customize Resource for RP006's Research Plan Google Doc
  • Open the template "TWE: Template: IS[Replace YY]: RP[Replace 000]: [TITLE OF RESEARCH] Research Plan" (Resources 1.06)
  • Choose the "USE TEMPLATE" button to save it to your own drive
  • Update the file name by following the steps:
    1. Copy the text below

    TWE: IS22: RP006: Intern Intake Interview Research Plan
    

    1. Choose "File" > "Rename", and paste the text you copied into the top field of the Google Doc to rename the file
    2. Highlight the texts of the title on the first page of the Google Doc
    3. Paste the texts you copied to replace the original title of the Google Doc cover page
  • Choose "File" and "Move" to move the file out of your drive and into the shared drive > Internships > internships > Research > 1. Research by type > 2. Intern > RP006
  • Choose "Share" in the Research Plan Google doc
  • Choose "Copy link" and "Done"
  • In Resource # 2.01, place the link you just copied between parentheses at the end of the line with no space in between the right bracket ] and the left parenthesis (, so it turns into a hyperlink
• Update each section of the new research plan Google doc with information gathered from Resources 1.01 to 1.05
  • Background
  • Product Goals and Metrics
  • Research Questions and Objectives
  • Participants
  • Research Assumption
  • Research Methods
  • Data Analysis
  • Timeline
  • Resources
  • Notes
  • Appendix
• Update the Table of contents (page 2) when you are finished with the document.
• Update the depreciated research plan doc (Resources # 1.01) with the new research plan doc link at the beginning of the depreciated doc, similar to the screenshot below

  This document has been depreciated and replaced with TWE: IS22: RP006: Intern Intake Interview Research Plan
  

  • Paste what you copied into the beginning of the depreciated research plan doc (Resources # 1.01)
  • Apply bold formatting on the text you just pasted into the depreciated research plan doc
  • Copy the URL in Resources 2.01
  • Highlight TWE: IS22: RP006: Intern Intake Interview Research Plan
  • Select "Insert Link"
  • Paste the URL you just copied into the second text box with a magnifying glass
  • Select "Apply"
• Remove the depreciated research plan from the Research Plan section of RP006's Wiki page
• Copy the texts and the URL in Resources 2.01
• Paste what you copied into the Research Plan section of RP006's Wiki page and make sure the hyperlink works
• Review with UX Lead
• Product sign-off

2. Blockers: "Difficulties or errors encountered."
3. Availability: "How much time will you have this week to work on this issue?"
4. ETA: "When do you expect this issue to be completed?"
5. Pictures or links* (if necessary): "Add any pictures or links that will help illustrate what you are working on."
