This issue is part of the Tables project and needs to be sorted out by reading all the issues and deciding on what moves forward and closing the rest with relevant links to.
Overview
The objective is to automate some of the onboarding processes for new volunteers when they join HfLA AND when they join a particular project. New volunteers should have to provide their information (email address, time preference etc.) only once when they join HfLA, and the same information should be automatically used to onboard them when they join communities of practice or a specific project.
Action Items
- Understand current process of onboarding volunteers at HfLA level and project level by taking inputs from cross-functional team members
- Create a mutually decided workflow for onboarding volunteers at 2 levels: HfLA communities of practice & HfLA projects
- Create google form for volunteers to fill out
- Create Google Apps Script to automate onboarding processes
- Create documentation & communicate this process across HfLA communities of practice & projects
