Need altitude component

To describe spacecraft and ground magnetometer position, we realized we had no label for "altitude".  This needs to be added.  

This should be relative to a sphere or ellipsoid, as understood using the coordinate system description.  So an example of something needing description is wgs84 location, which is longitude, latitude, and altitude above the Earth surface (represented as an ellipsoid).
