I want to output a friendly error message for all but node v16 on M1 Mac

Hi.
My wife is using an M1 Mac, and when she accidentally installed `node v14` in nodebrew, the error message was `v14 is not found`. node v16 or later is compatible with M1, so it would be nice if you could output a clear error message.
