@almereyda git-sync is a tiny module focused on one particular piece of functionality (sync a remote git url to a local dir at a branch), jingo seems to be a whole suite and what you linked is "stuck in a lib directory".

i got the idea for git-sync from git-pull-cron, which aims for similar functionality. i ended up writing git-sync after using git-pull-cron because at a certain point it's easier for me to write my own modules that do exactly what i want than struggle with other modules, plus i wrote it using libgit2 instead of spawning git.

i'm quite interested in using GitHub repos as databases, so i have some ideas for the future of git-sync, namely being able to support GitHub web hooks, plus maybe splitting out the "update a directory with a git repo" functionality to a separate module that this depends on to run after poll / hook.
