I modprobe the kernel and can't seem to get it to work.

Kernel is 4.1. Qemu is 2.9. Using Virt-Manager. Modules and initram all built and ran as instructed. I modprobe and get outputs for both VFIO and KVMGT. The virtual machine does not allow me to install Intel HD drivers.

I am using Arch Linux.

kernel 4.1 looks old for either host or guest. Pls check wiki page on setup guide.

I followed the guide completely, the Intel GPU wasn't being passthroughed into the VM.

kernel: I tried by 2 versions as follow : gvt-linux-gvt-stable-4.10 / gvt-linux-gvt-stable-4.11
Qemu: Igvtg-qemu-stable-2.9.0

Your machine is the Kabylake client platform. Until now the gvt-stable-4.10 and gvt-stable-4.11 branch are only support Broadwell & Skylake platforms. The gvt-staging branch now support the Broadwell & Skylake & Kabylake Server platforms, and will support Kabylake client platform soon. But until now there is no branch support Kabylake client platform. Thanks! @TerrenceXu thanks very much！ i can get the "mdev_support_types" on intel i5 6500. but there is another question: i want to create vgpu by the command as follow:

"sudo echo "a297db4a-f4c2-11e6-90f6-d3b88d6c9525" > "/sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:00:02.0/ mdev_supported_types/i915-GVTg_V5_4/create"
It can not work by the result:
bash: /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:00:02.0/ mdev_supported_types/i915-GVTg_V5_4/create: Permission denied
And , it doesnot work by using "hmod 644 create"
