Add a bibtex citations to docs/docstrings

• We'll need a references.bib file to docs
• in my brief test, https://github.com/shyamd/mkdocs-bibtex works for citing within .md files, but not within docstrings

It creates an inline reference if you use it in the argument of a docstring:
