A question about image_url

Have you tried a grid representation without image_url? I wonder how important was the image in solving the puzzles.

Ryan complained about GPT4o's vision on grids. LLMs would be better at ARC if they had better vision. Any thought?

I give both a grid and an image. I’ve found the image helped but generally not by so much, meaning that their vision capacity, at least for grids that require lots of attention to abstract patterns, is not great.
