For two different stitches, we quickly run out of options.
There is no point in flipping B, B can't be created with horizontal or vertical shaped tiles.
A can be flipped into C, vertical or horizontal shaped tiles have no added value over diagonal.

With three different stitches, boomerang shaped tiles have no added values over diagonal/horizontal/vertical tiles.
There seems no added value between vertical/diagonal shaped tiles.
