Deprecated "tinyurl" API Endpoint

Whenever I use File -> Shorten Song URL, the tinyurl link it creates uses a secondary screen that takes longer to load in favor of telling the user that what's being used to shorten the URL is outdated, in part due to safety concerns. I'm not completely sure what it means but, more info can be found here, on their "Retiring Our Old API Endpoint" page.
If there's any way to transition Beepbox's url shortener to the free 'modern API' it offers, that would make songs quicker to look at & be much appreciated. More than anything I'm concerned of it becoming a defunct feature if Beepbox does not update it.

Oh dear, thanks for pointing this out.

Unfortunately, if I create an account to use their new API at the free tier, it looks like I'd only be able to create 100 shortened links per month: https://tinyurl.com/app/pricing

I don't think that's enough for all BeepBox users.

What about switching to a different URL shortener from now on?

Ultrabox already supports is.gd, so i see no problem with just going forward with that.

Thanks for the suggestion. I like the overall usability of is.gd. However, it has a max character limit of 5000, which is significantly lower than tinyurl's limit of 15000, so there are many songs that could be saved on tinyurl but not is.gd.

There's probably no perfect solution, at least not for free. :/

Maybe I can detect whether the song url is small enough to fit in is.gd's limit, and if so that use that, and otherwise fall back to tinyurl?

Oh. Then, we could use another URL shortener (although there are millions out there, so selecting one with the right stability+charlimit will be difficult).

If we can't find any good alternatives, perhaps i could write my own. (i considered proposing https://beepboard.xyz, however 90% of songs shared with URL shorteners are temporary; also beepboard requires a title and description and thus it would be difficult to integrate into Beepbox).

I updated it dc7e2d4 to use is.gd for links up to 5000 characters then tinyurl up to 15000.
