Vortex mod manager can't install

I've downloaded the 2.0 zip file, and tried to add it with Vortex, here's the error I get:

I have no idea why, I can unzip it and see the mod_info.json file just fine...

Jajaja, I unzipped it, then compressed it again into .7z extension, and then it worked, don't ask me why, other mods in Starsector have worked ok with .zip files...

Man I forgot I had to do this last time, no fix yet? this is an inconvenience I come upon once every 6 months~1 year
