It is a current statement. Today, Jython currently delivers Python 2 compatibility. In the future, we can update the page to celebrate compatibility with Python 3. |

Edit: sorry, wrong button. I agree that a clearer statement should be given that the only available version is 2.7, but equally that Jython (the project) aims to implement Python (the language) in a 3.x too. |

Python 2 died 877 days ago on 1/1/2020 so the site should be clear that Jython delivers Python 2 compatibility.
