brlcad 7.18.4 on gentoo doesn't build libbrep.so #2

python-brlcad requires libbrep.so at the moment, and the gentoo package doesn't provide it. So should this be a situation that python-brlcad supports? Maybe have a way to selectively include modules as they become available?
brep.h is there, but libbrep.so isn't compiled by default.
