Broken pipe on newest SWS

Hello!
TRying to use this onstep python library to connect my mount to another piece of equipment - Running into a bit of a problem. On an older version of the SWS - I believe it was probably Main or the last release, the onstep python lib worked mostly alright.

However, now I am running into a consistent easily reproduced broken socket error, using SWS 2.06e and onstep 10.16a (also on regular onstep)

Basically to recreate - fire up the menu script, it connects, then use 'r' for report. First report works, then gets a SLW, then gets a broken pipe.

I am also getting consistent broken pipes in using this library as part of another project - i can get it to connect, but after a while, I get broken pipes.
