Upcoming devtools release may impact srcpkgs

Hi, I will release devtools soon and I notice this may cause an issue for srcpkgs.

I cloned srcpkgs and ran tests / checks locally and could not quickly determine what the issue is. I try to open a PR when I can, but I'm afraid that's not happening in this case. But I just want to give you a heads up.
