Home directory templates

I'd love for there to be a way to copy a template of a home directory in when creating the home directory on a server. Probably just pull a tar from S3 or something. This way when I log into a "new" server some of my defaults can carry over with me.

Have you considered using EFS for a common home directory across instances?
