While you do not enter a coin, a video will appear showing the company logo "Psikyo", if you still don't enter the coin a gameplay will be shown introducing the main characters.
As soon as the player has entered the coin, a screen with the start button will appear, and when you press it the screen will change to the select character menu. At this moment the player has a countdown starting with nine until zero to choose between any of the five characters.
In the HUD there are different things that we can talk about. At the top left corner we can see the score and lifes of the first player, but in the case that you are the second player the same will appear on the opposite side. However, while you are playing alone, the start button will be blinking at the top right corner. At the left bottom there are the special ammo that the character can use to fight against enemies. At the right bottom we can find the coins that the player has entered.
When the player has wasted all his lifes in the game, he will be able to see in the screen a "Game Over" and a "Continue?" texts next to a countdown. He will have nine seconds to introduce a coin until the game ends and the main screen appears.
