kendo ui validator

Hi there, I'm trying to use kendo ui validator for my form. 
It works great except when I reset my form after valid submit or reset the value, the error messages for required field are always shown. 
I would like the error message to go away once I reset the form. I tried to use hideMessages, but the error message still shows up. Any idea how to achieve this?
