different docks with different monitor configs

I am using my thinkpad in 2 differend docks, one at home, one at work. Both have different monitor setups. Is there a way to handle this with dockd?

I think this is a very common and basic set-up which should be addressed.
One idea would be to make dockd network-aware, e.g. read the assigned IP address. Most likely this will differ between work and home office. Depending on this, one could load the one or the other set-up. If this is not sufficient, enough, other methods could be to look-out for a certain server (e.g. DNS-server, Gateway).
If one would not like to include network settings (e.g. because he might not connect to a network at all), one could try to read in the display EDID of the displays to distinguish the workplaces.

For those who came here to look for a solution,
I switched to Wayland and found kanshi
which allows switching automatically between an (infinite) amount of display settings.
