Background

As a participant of a channel swap, I had to open a channel using the current LND git master to a node 034a7b1ac1239ff2ac8438ce0a7ade1048514b77d4322f514e96918e6c13944861.

Your environment

• version of lnd: d7d9eb9
• debian/bullseye
• bitcoind-22.0

Expected behaviour

opening a channel successfully, maybe with some options required for less secure or obsolete channel types, etc.

Actual behaviour

2021-10-13 15:24:22.167 [ERR] RPCS: unable to open channel to NodeKey(034a7b1ac1239ff2ac8438ce0a7ade1048514b77d4322f514e96918e6c13944861): received unexpected channel type

Tried several workarounds, nothing helped but reverting ad758d8.

Peer node operator says he uses Eclair 0.6.2.

Ah makes sense, right now we still use the temporary feature bit, but we need to switch over to using 55/56. Will be done before we cut the release candidate for 0.14.

@Roasbeef still a problem with d45675d (tag: v0.14.0-beta.rc4), reverting the offending patch (now with resolving conflicts) still helps.

Same peer with Eclair, will ask the owner to participate here if needed.
