invalid-meta error on `bower install`

When I follow the installation instructions, at the `bower install` stage I get an error returned:

```
bower                     invalid-meta The "name" is recommended to be lowercase, can contain digits, dots, dashes
```

If I edit the bower.json and change the "name" to all-lower-case the error goes away.
