{segment_category_ids_any} outputs tag when no categories in URL

{segment_category_ids_any} outputs the tag “{segment_category_ids_any}” when the URL does not contain any category.

{segment_category_ids} in contrast outputs nothing.

I prefer the behavior of {segment_category_ids}.

Right know {exp:channel:entries categories="{segment_category_ids_any}"} is not usable for me. With no categories in the URL it breaks {exp:channel:entries}.
