Error on Unraid Instalation

Hi

Downloaded today and im getting the following error before the container shuts down
"exec /root/.local/share/pypoetry/venv/bin/poetry: exec format error"

The error likely comes from an architecture mismatch. Have you tried the pre-built Docker image? You can pull and run it with:

docker pull lkmeta/txtify:latest
docker run -d -p 8010:8010 lkmeta/txtify:latest

Could you confirm if your Unraid server uses ARM or x86_64? The pre-built image should work on x86_64.

Tried pulling the latest image and got:

Hey guys, I'm working on adding ARM support but haven't been able to test on Unraid yet. For now, I recommend following the steps to build your own Docker image as outlined in the installation guide: GitHub Link. I'll share updates once ARM support is ready!

Not a docker expert by any means but the prebuilt one on dockerhub appears to be ARM already? Its x86_64 that is needed I think. Very excited to try this!

@mitchray I built the image on my M3 MacBook, resulting in linux/arm64/v8. I need to push a linux/arm64 (and amd I think) version on Docker hub. However, the process is taking a long time, so I’m attempting to rebuild it on Linux device, but the issue is that it generates a 12GB image... so I’m optimizing it by removing unnecessary dependencies.

I just build the image with the install instructions from this GitHub repo on my Unraid 7 locally. After that you just use the Unraid txtify app, but it's necessary to change the image source:

So the already existing local image is used insted the one from Docker hub.

But of course this way you can't use the normal Unraid update procedure:

So it's a workaround until @lkmeta releases a multiplattform image on Docker hub...

Hey everyone, thanks for your patience and all your feedback! Sorry for taking so long, life’s been busy lately, but I will catch up asap. I suspect stable-ts might be ballooning the image size, so I’m looking into optimizing or possibly removing it (though that might affect the subs quality). I’m also exploring multi-stage builds and cache cleaning to reduce the final image size. Once I’ve got a more manageable multi-arch build, I’ll update you. By the way, @klepptor , what size did your built image end up being?

@lkmeta Just looked around a bit for curiosity.

By adding --no-cache to the RUN command in the Dockerfile the size changed to 9.3G.

RUN poetry install --no-root --no-cache --only main

txtify still works... ;)

I'm quite sure there can be done even more here, because /root/.cache/pypoetry alone is 8.1G

There are several (older) Issues to this in the poetry repo, e.g.:

python-poetry/poetry#3374
