The current day picker necessitates dropdown menus for month and year selection, enabling users to swiftly choose a particular month and year. This feature improves the usability of the date selection process by making it more efficient, especially for users navigating across distant dates.

Why should this be worked on?

In scenarios where users need to select dates far in the past or future, scrolling through months manually can be tedious and time-consuming. Dropdowns allow for quick jumps to the desired time frame.
