@tobrun this change worked fine outside of the instrumentation test added in https://github.com/mapbox/mapbox-navigation-android/pull/895/files#diff-86faeb3b50a2f27acb6e0c81af8804a2 - I was still able to reproduce the native crash with these changes. It could be the test itself?
