Just blur without light/dark overlay?

Is it possible to just blur an image without having a light or dark colour wash over it, in a consistent way on both ios and android? Or a way to at least have control over the opacity of the colour wash?

Actually, you can change the opacity and let the blur just transparent.

Add overlayColor={'rgba(RED, GREEN, BLUE, OPACITY)'}

e.g. overlayColor={'rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.0)'} to make it transparent.

I'd really like a solution for this too. The dark blurType looks terrible with our dark blue color scheme.

Has this been solved? On iOS, I still am unable to produce a transparent overlay :(
