Hmm, do you mean that you disabled a calendar in your Google profile and the events from that calendar are still visible after you refreshed the board?

If so, then I need to look into the different parameters returned by the Google service, and maybe I can exclude them from the result set.

If I do something like this:

In Google Calendar, Birthdays shows events and Tasks does not, but refreshing the inkplate shows events for both (wake button test).

Okay, I have looked into it and I am a bit confused about the fact that you see tasks on the InkPlate board. The calendar service does not return tasks. I tried to create a test task myself and it never appeared when I run the Google script.
I looked at the documentation to make sure and the calendar service does not mention tasks: Calendar Service.
However there is an other service specifically to work with tasks: Tasks Service. But this one is not used in the script at the moment. Maybe I overlooked something. If so, please provide a bit more info about this or point to the documentation where it is mentioned.

Sidenote: I looked into multiple calendar support and that is coming soon... This part is shown under the "Other calendar" section on the web UI. It involves all the subscriptions to publicly available calendars or shared calendars.

My apologies for the misleading image and unclear wording. I refer to real calendars that I created, not those ones autofilled by Google. I didn't want to show private calendar names and so I used those google ones as a example of what I meant by having one selected and not the other. Was meant to be a confirmation but instead was a massive mislead 😓

On user added calendars, a calendar not checked will still pass on data to inkplate, same as if it was checked.

Ok, it makes more sense like this. Now the script pulls all the the user-owned calendars and doesn't do any filtering to differentiate which one is hidden. It can be done, no problem.
Actually it made me think about a few more things, like:

• It could pull all the calendars which belongs to the user (shared, subscribed, user-owned too) and of course it could exclude the ones which are hidden
• Would it be useful to display tasks? (just playing with the idea)

I only have very basic needs for calendars, no experience whatsoever with the Tasks calendar or functionality. Probably something that, if you don't use it, better to skip on code developing and maintenance?
