[Bug]: Folder scanning takes too long

It keep scanning for a long time .. it should just let me see the file and do scanning in background

Hi @jskalia, thanks for reporting this. I'll investigate this further. To help me narrow down the cause, could you help me with a few things:

1. I suspect the folder you opened might be very large, possibly containing hidden directories like .git, node_modules, or system folders that could slow down the scanning. Could you open Terminal, navigate to that folder, and run these commands?

echo "Folders: $(find . -type d | wc -l)"
echo "Markdown files: $(find . -type f -name "*.md" | wc -l)"
echo "Total files: $(find . -type f | wc -l)"

2. Does this happen with every folder, or just this specific one?
3. Could you try pressing F5 to refresh the page, then re-select the folder? Does the scanning still take a long time?

@jskalia, just a quick update - I've been investigating the folder scanning performance, and I'm already working on some improvements for this.
