General->Run as Administrator not available if not a admin user.

Did not find anything regarding this issue.

On my Maschine I run as a user which does not have admin privileges, but I can start programs as an user which has admin rights. Power Toys notifies me that applicatons run under admin rights and lets me open the wiki page. (Visual Studio)

But under General-> I don't have a setting to restart as admin, I guess since my user has no admin rights. Is it possible to tell Power toys to run as an different user?

Or at least Grey out the setting with a description why.

Launch PT just like you would Visual Studio in that case. Reason why is we can't easily restart it as admin in this case as we don't know who that user is.

I encountered the same issue as @MichaelPeter but when I launch PT as a user with admin rights, I can't get into settings via the system tray at all (right click icon > Settings) and if I double-click the system tray icon, a blank PT window appears.

@enricogior keep me honest here as i believe we chatted about this. I believe the issue is programmatically we can't launch as a different user. We can only launch elevated as same user.

@crutkas that is correct, Run as administrator is misleading, since in reality we are running elevated, it works only if the user is a member of the administrators group.
