Suggestion
The skipLibCheck and pretty compiler options should be listed in the config created by --init (continuing #20961). pretty makes it easier to parse the error output, and skipLibCheck has seen popular use, for example, in create-react-app, in part because the lib errors would be in code not controlled by the user. It's a common enough issue that it would be helpful to make users aware of skipLibCheck when they need it by having read the defaults. Similarly for pretty; it's a helpful option that may be underused because there isn't enough awareness of it.
Checklist
My suggestion meets these guidelines:
- This wouldn't be a breaking change in existing TypeScript/JavaScript code
- This wouldn't change the runtime behavior of existing JavaScript code
- This could be implemented without emitting different JS based on the types of the expressions
- This isn't a runtime feature (e.g. library functionality, non-ECMAScript syntax with JavaScript output, etc.)
- This feature would agree with the rest of TypeScript's Design Goals.
