Windows Store’s automatic updates are terrifying — there’s just no way to disable them completely.

Describe the solution you'd like
An independent app should use pop-up prompts to let users know an update is needed, but it should never take matters into its own hands—like secretly updating in the middle of the night and killing all the processes the user is running.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Completely forbid any background updates unless the user has confirmed it repeatedly at least twice.

This is becoming an ABSOLUTE nuisance on my work computer. I require that automatic updates NOT occur while I'm working.
