README lacks overview of what DCP is and its purpose

Problem

The current README explains that the repository contains the Developer Control Plane (DCP) API server and CLI, and details the tool design. However, it does not give an overview of what/who DCP is for, or in which scenarios a developer would use it.

Suggested improvement

Add an introductory section to the README that briefly explains:

• What DCP is and the problem(s) it solves.
• How it relates to Aspire (if relevant), or clarify its role if distinct.
• The intended audience and use cases.
• Why a developer or team would adopt DCP.

This will help new contributors and users quickly grasp the value and context of the project beyond its technical implementation and usage details.

Recommend also linking to learn.microsoft.com docs if available.

based on my best guess. Since i learn by trying to reverse engineer the dotnet/aspire. DCP is the core backend of the dotnet/aspire. But I don't know, will dcp or dotnet/aspire will morph into more production container orchestration?

No. DCP is targeting development scenarios only. For production there are various flavors for Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps, and a lot of other orchestrators.
