@aslushnikov this functionality is available in the applitool's api to some extent. On a previous project of mine, we went with Applitools over other visual tools specifically for this functionality.

@unlikelyzero do you find it most convenient to hide elements using element handles, selectors, or plain screenshot rectangles?

@aslushnikov it was most convenient to use plain screenshot rectangles, but we went with element handles. I think the majority of users want a way to intercept ad elements, however, we needed a way to block Time Series plots since they sourced realtime data. Eventually that data's API became stable enough to intercept and replace with static content.
