Unable to connect to IBM Container Registry

I am using Connect Registry > Generic Docker Registry
URL for registry: http://us.icr.io
Username: iamapikey
Password:
Error: "Error: request to http://us.icr.io/v2/ failed, reason: connect ECONNREFUSED 103.41.70.140:80"

I face no issues trying to connect to the same registry host from the CLI:
docker login -u iamapikey -p us.icr.io/v2/

I'll add this to #869. It looks like IBM's container registry does not use the Registry V2 HTTP API which is unfortunate. It will not be possible to connect using the "Generic Docker Registry" option.
