LS Extension UI contributions, ownership, and maintenance

Spike on figuring out how LS extension can contribute its unique UI experience. How this will be maintained for Pylance? What is the ownership model of this component?

Pylance currently is its own extension, the language client is created in the Python extension by taking the launch parameters from Pylance. This allows all the features from Pylance to be registered via Python extension. LS features and UI happens via LS Client, other extension features, and UI are handled in Pylance since it is just another extension from that perspective.
