VSCode - Wayland support without XWayland

Since most GTK3-apps I run into run natively via the "wayland display server protocol" without the need of "XWayland". Are there any plans for VSCode to do so as well? The latest version of VSCode needs "XWayland".

VS Code is based on Electron and Chromium, so we inherit this from them.
