How to get my SharePoint site with the Sites API using the Python SDK and Site.Selected permission

As mentioned in the title I have the Sites.Selected permission set with roles Read, Write, Manage, and FullControl.

The documentation for the Python SDK exposes only one coroutine example to query a given site by means of its ID metadata which I don't have yet.

How can I get the Site given I have only the URL of the site itself, for instance https://mycompanyname.sharepoint.com/sites/mysitename

While it is called by_site_id you can still use the path. In your case that would be

await graph_client.sites.by_site_id('root:/sites/mysitename:').get()

For questions like this, I personally think https://github.com/microsoftgraph/msgraph-sdk-python/discussions/categories/q-a would be more suited in the future.
