Add configuration for redundant CI status

Travis CI is currently down. We can't depend on just one service, so make sure the full suite runs on at least one other host, ideally one not affected by AWS outages.

Action item for now: verify issues blocking v0.8.0 manually.

v0.8.0 and v0.8.1 were released successfully, as per issue #70 . Now migrating this ticket to a more time-independent milestone.
