I don't think so, I did not use the heavy machinery from MNE-Python for the dataset module, just a couple of pooch calls. It's less flexible, but a lot simpler ;)

I'm more thinking for future compat with any config options you might want to set. But if you don't anticipate any obvious ones we can add later if needed
